Consultations
The Radio Advisory Board’s product is advice which is provided, primarily, to the Government of Canada. This advice is prepared in RABC committees and is then reviewed by the Board’s Executive before being submitted to all Board sponsors for ‘balloting.’ The balloting procedure allows sponsor members to approve, abstain or disapprove of the Board’s advice. The ballot also allows members to add their own comments. In the event that many members disapproved a report would not be sent to the government.
The Radio Advisory Board also publishes some documents for the information of members and the general public. These include:
- Some default procedures for coordination, and
- Some DRAFTs of some documents (usually Radio Standards Specification) which might be of near term interest to people who do not work in the RABC.
